Things about Power Inverters

Power inverters are used to convert the power supply from a battery to the alternating voltage that all the household appliances run on. Inverters can be used to run almost anything from LED lighting to appliances like televisions and other electronic items. There are two types of inverters, the sine wave inverters and the modified sine wave inverters.

The pure sine wave inverter produces clean electricity and hence can be used for sensitive electronic appliances whereas a modified sine wave inverter produces dirty electricity which could damage sensitive electronics by overheating them. Inverters can also be designed to produce different outputs ranging from 1000 watt for a few appliances like a sound system or television to 4000 watt for supporting the average household requirements. A good power inverter can also be used in combination with solar panels or while harnessing wind energy to take care of the energy consumption needs of a house.
